Realize it's been forever since we've been on here, but I've been lurking just not posting, unfortunately now something's come up that we need some help with.
Since our beardie Iron Fist (3 y/o male) has been shedding (again) we haven't been handling him very much recently, just feeding and wetting him down. We were planning on giving him a nice long soak/bath and cleaning his tank out today when he got my attention by practically standing up on the glass and staring at us (a sign he wants to get out and explore). I debated but decided to visit and open up his tank and while we had another discussion on the difference between fingers and worms I noticed he was missing a single toe nail.
My biggest question is whether his nail will regrow?
My female lost two nails, they both grew back however it probably depends on how much came out... sometimes it may grow back and sometimes it wont depending on that.
They also grew back quite wrongly and I had to cut them to make sure they didnt curve underneath her or underneath one of her other nails.
He lives alone in his tank, but has been extremely active lately, climbing up the combination wood and branches risers and trying to climb up the plywood walls. We also have a large-ish wood and bark cove he basks on, plus some large rocks in the tank. I'll look around and see if there are any gaps it could have gotten caught in and silicone them.
