Hi right now Taz my juvenile beardie is on repti-carpet, and it is getting a little annoying with crickets crawling underneath it and poo stains.so i was wondering if slate tile would be a better option.... my only concerns are if Taz will be able to grip the tile?? i dont want him to be sliding uncomfortablly around because he likes to move alot. Does anybody use this substrate that could give a little info? also do you know any sites or threads that could instruct me on how to install it into his tank?? Thanks a bunch in advance
I've used tile in all my reptile tanks. I just run my hand over the tiles at lowes till I find one I like. I wouldn't go for the glazed tiles stick w/ the ones that have some tooth to them and you'll be fine.
Be sure to take an accurate measurement of the INSIDE of pthe tank and tell the person in the flooring department what size you are needing them to fit and they will cut them down to size for you. When pyou pget home wash them off and put them in the bottom of your tank.
