Well, this just occurred. He's shedding on the tip of his tail. I took him out and his tail is wet, oozing some 'yellow fluid'. I didn't see any scar tissues, or injuries. He's shedding the tail. Would the shed absorb any water? I didn't see any injuries to his tail. No baths today.
Yesterday, he had one after pooping.

That looks like shed but not sure why it would be oozing liquid I am guessing it water
I will see what AHBD says about this
@AHBD
I mean I smelled it, it didn't smell like any infection and I'm getting the 'stink' eye for 'looking at his tail'. He's not happy. I've also wanted to try a new bulb and it's getting up to 93 on his basking side. But, he's not overly hot with it. I don't know if I should go for a hotter wattage. Or add the CHE to bring it up to 96.

How are you getting temps and are they surface basking temps- those surface basking temps you want 95-100 taken w/ a digital probe thermometer -- you could use your CHE to get temps higher as long as he has the clear bright white basking bulb

If it was actually oozing then there's an infection. If you can verify it you'll need to see a reptile vet in case there's infection developing under the scales that's starting to destroy some tissue, hence the smell.

Digital thermometers. It's a clear bulb. I will add the CHE until I can get a 100 watt next month. So far, it's 93.

It doesn't really smell, but I can do regular routine betadine soaks and follow up with leftover silver sulfadiazine cream. I haven't seen any more oozing. It looked like water and clear.

Update:
I don't know what's going on with his tail. This part is worrying me and I have gave him antibiotic ointment without pain relief, an aloe vera juice soak. Last night, it was cold- because it was night time and he got cold while sleeping. He keeps his tail warm when basking.
I have added a CHE along with his Basking Bulb.
But, this is what's worrying me.
I don't have a real good vet here in town. I do hear that being old- 10 years old- to shed is harder and it gets thick.
I have no idea whether to wrap this up and keep it with aloe vera gel too.
I've inquired too with Tracie. This part is kind of hard, like the scales weren't ready...But, they are turning 'grey'. I'm keeping an eye on the tail.

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?

Hey! We’re the same age! That’s cool!
Hi there a little update we went from a 50 watt heat lamp to a 100 watt basking halogen heat lamp hahaha I saw some comments about it being so close so I made sure to put it a ruler away from her
Has anyone seen this before? Something in the corner of his mouth
Luna is thriving
