My new 7-weekers have been eating small crickets, and I've been giving them their salad as well - which I've never actually SEEN them eat.
The crickets however - it's so fun to watch Trixie and Dixie run all over the place and snap them up. BUT...
I introduced ReptiWorms (dusted of course) in a small feeding bowl in their enclosure. So far they've not seemed very interested in them, even though the worms do wiggle around quite a bit.
So my question is, will my girls eventually get used to the idea that the worms are indeed food? Sorry to sound stupid, but I hear all these stories about "herps just love 'em!" and how they chow down on the worms, but at this point in time my girls really don't seem interested. Tips? Advice?
Now, again, I must say that I've had them for just one week. I'm sure I'm just wanting everything to be perfect right off the bat. I also appreciate any and all advice you lovely folks care to give me.
Hey Roxanne, some dragons love them and some dont. I would put the worms in front of them and see if they see em. As for dusting with calcium their is no need to because they are already packed with calcium. Hope this helps..
If they are young and used to crickets they may just be slow to change.
Ive fed them to my hatchlings and for the most part they went for them.
There are a few that just prefer waiting for crickets tho.
