Question about my Megaray (New question)

Well ReptileUV was kind enough to send me another bulb because the one they origonally sent me was defective. The new one they sent me works great. It does not shut off like the last one. However I don't know what the color of them are supposed to be. It produces a bright white light, sort of like what your common florecscent UV light would. I always imagined it to be more like a normal house bulb. Are they supposed to be that color?

yes it's normal, I know what you mean - they are very "cold" looking. Depending on the time of year I use a low wattage incandescent or an energy saving bulb just to "warm up" the light. er, does that make sense? :roll:
