Puffy chin new Beardie !?

I just brought this baby home Sunday. She’s 7 months old. I didn’t notice her chin was this puffy when I got her but it could be that I wasn’t paying that much attention.

Is this normal?

When did she eat last? It could be shes storing food in there and she go down in a day or so

Got her Sunday not sure if the breeder fed her knowing she was getting picked up and wouldn’t be under the light most of the day. Monday she ate one large Dubia. Tuesday she ate a couple mouthfuls of greens, today she ate a large Dubia and a tiny bit of greens. I really don’t think it was this puffy when I got her Sunday but it was a long day and I put her in her enclosure and didn’t take photos until monday. Those are the ones in daylight and tonight is the one with the darker light.

Thank you very much. Yes, her head and one patch on her side looks like it’s shedding.

They can have a pretty good sized dolap, she looks pretty chunky, so that can be expected. She is a very pretty dragon , she is a visual translucent, i can only see one foot but she looks to be hypo also. She is also a leatherback, she's got pretty strong gentics.

She is a hypo/trans. I love her so much. Her hatch date was 7/15/2022 I believe and she weighs 215 grams. So not sure if she’s on the chunkier side for her she.

I don’t have scale to do grams but this is in oz .

Just seen you said shes a leatherback, I was told she was regular scale? Is she a leatherback. I can post better pictures if it would help. Thanks

In the pics on the scale she does look like a normal scale, in the first pics her side spikes looked smaller. ...... we never say no to more pics lol.
If you want to post a couple we can look again, but from the pic on the scale she does look to be a normal scale. Still a beautiful girl either way

is a leatherback, if you zoom in you can see how much smaller her side spikes are, in your first pics your girl looked to have the smaller spikes also, thats why i assumed she was leatherback

The hornworm under Ruby's foot is so funny! She's such a pretty leatherback girl.
