Hey guys! I recently got another bearded dragon, he is approximately 6 weeks old, I already took him to the vet for a check up a few weeks ago and they said he is in good health. He recently started doing this thing where he will puff his throat and then open his mouth almost like he's letting the breath out and a popping noise it accompanied with it. I uploaded a video to YouTube, here in the link: https://youtu.be/7p48agM0nQg
I've had a bearded dragon before and she never did anything like this, just wondering if it's normal or if I should make another vet appointment soon. He's been doing it for about a week now and I only notice him doing it towards the end of the day. As far as I know, he has not aspirated any water of sorts.
Does he just do it after he eats ? How often does he do it throughout the evening ? If you bathe him, stop , they don't need daily baths unless they're actually dirty. Once a week is O.K. For hydration you can drip water on his snout slowly until he drinks. If the breathing gets worse you can have the vet check him out and possibly prescribe antibiotics. Your vet really has to know what they're doing to treat a tiny dragon though.

Yes he does it after he eats and he does it for 5-10 minutes and then stops. I give him a bath 2-3 times a week to help with shedding bc he's been shedding quite often, should I cut it down? I dont think his breathing seems off when he's not doing this puffing thing in the video. What should I do if he continues doing it? Do you have any idea of what could be wrong?
Edit: he doesn't do it every time after eating, it's more of a random thing.
How is your dragon doing?
Perhaps he eats too much at one time? Sometimes that can happen after they eat for
some reason. Does his beard turn dark or not?

Hi! So update: today he has been doing it on and off all day he does not turn dark or have any stress marks. I have been thinking about emailing the vet to see if they think I should bring him in or not. He seems perfectly healthy other than that, he's active (not lethargic at all), eats well, he's alert and gaps through out the day. I have noticed he's been rubbing his head a lot lately on his log as a sign that he's going to shed soon.
Another update: I emailed the vet I take him to, I got this video today of him doing it again https://youtu.be/jhoGNgGFoxM I really am hoping everything is okay
