Puffed Up Princess

Autumn puffed up her beard today - a rarity. And a confusing one, at that, seeing as I was in the middle of getting her food ready. (She occasionally puffs up a little when she wants to be left alone, but not to that extent).

I think she was just trying to get the shed loose, though? So I snapped a picture of the shedding princess.... (Give her lots of love, okay? She's having a hard time today, with the shed starting to peel off her head.)

She's been going a bit crazy today, trying to get it off - keeps running about and rubbing against things.

Poor baby..she looks uncomfortable and miserable. Would perhaps a warm bath help loosen things up a little, maybe give her some relief?

It's a good idea, but she's never enjoyed baths before and I'm reluctant to try now when she's barely letting me touch her. The good news is that it's almost over with...

Yeah, all that's left is a tiny patch at the top of her head. The rest came off. I'll give her a bath if that doesn't go away within the next couple days. (Hopefully she'll be less moody now that it's dealt with, but she seems extra sensitive to touch right now so doesn't wanna be pet.)

The new skin may still be a little tender. She has to feel much better now. She sure is a little cutie pie
