I went into petsmart to get some crickets last night because once again I waited to long to order them, and when I went by the reptile cages I saw the had beardies. At first I was sad but when I saw the little guys I was amazed. NO SAND, HEAT BULB, UVB STRIP, NO POO ON THE FLOOR OR IN THEIR WATER, AND ONLY FOUR IN THE TANK, I couldnt believe it they were even health and happy, chaseing crickets around not meal worms. And the veggies were actually cut up into small enough peices. So if you live in Lincoln Ne, or around the area and are looking for a beardy check out the petsmart on north 27, It looks like all of the grumpy emails they have recieved have finally got them to change their minds on how to cage the babies.
that is awesome!!! I think our petsmart has them in a tank way too small. Try only keep 2 in the tank that I've seen. Don't use sand, but there is always moisture in the tank. When I say moisture I mean that it's almost raining in the tank. Petco needs to change how they do things. I don't know enough about most of the other reptiles, but the beardies are on sand, they are no bigger than 4inches when first put in the tank, there around around 4-6 of these little guys in the tank, the temps are ok and the veggies are ok, but they do feed them mealworms.
Keep ip the good work guys!!! And congrats to the NE Petsmart!!!!
