My dragons won't eat their veggies tried moving it around them for a while I just leave it in their cage and is never touched and another problem I think their scared of crickets I put them in were I keep the crickets and they just try to escape should I try to put the dragons one at a time, put the crickets in the cage. Do people have any advice for me :?: :?:

im having a cricket problem myself they wont eat unless its in there tank and some how i keep finding random crickets in the house i watch them eat them make sure i don't see them anymore i have no idea how or when they escape. My boyfriend is getting angry and i don't know how to stop it from happening, but back to you have you tried any worms do they eat that?

My vet said meal worms are not good for them. Every once in a while is fine. But they carry the most virus. He also has a bearded dragon. I also heard that from other breaders. So there eatting the crickets now?

You can try reptiworms. They are small, they can't escape, and they are a good substitute for crickets. You can just put them in a bowl and your beardie can munch on them. I hate crickets and reptiworms are fantastic. Even if you drop one they are not quick enough to get away. You can also mix them with your greens which should help them eat it even if they get a bite by accident :) and just gradually lessen the amount you put in the greens and eventually they will eat them on their own. Dubia roaches are another good choice. They are high in protein and my beardie goes absolutely nuts for them. They come in all different sizes from tiny 1/4" to adults 1 1/2". Butterworms, silk worms, horn worms....there's lots to try and your right about meal worms, the chitin (hard shell) is very hard to digest. Once your beardie is 16" + you can try super worms too which are almost just like a giant meal worms. Good luck :) let us know what you try and how it works....

Great I'll try for those roaches and I've had my eye on those worms thanks for the great info how many dragons do u have yea my two small ones are but the big one is still wondering what it is

I have 2. I got them in Sept they were 3months when I got them I feed them different worms they like phoenix worms when they were babies, they still do but they go to fast, silk worms are weird to get but they are very good for them. One of them loves them, the other one won't eat as many. Wax worms are good but I think those are every now and then. Do u have that list of foods? I can't stand roaches maybe one day ill feed them those but for now no thank u.

yupp i hate roaches too they just seem too grimmy for me and i just got a thousand small superworms and a hundred phoenix worm to try out and i hope my dragons start to gain more weight

I've heard of repti worms before but I think those are probably the only worms I haven't tryed where do u get them. I usually get my stuff on mulbery website. So do u never give them crickets anymore? I'm having so many issues with them I can't stand them anymore.

I still keep crickets on hand, because sometimes mine just want crickets, but it's healthy to feed the a variety. Variety is the spice of life, and the only way to give that spice to beardies is to change up their food :). For babies you can use reptiworms as a staple, and you could for an adult too but an adult could eat about 500 a day and that would get expensive lol, I usually keep
Crickets and roaches on hand all the time and switch up the worms once I run out and get a different kind. I only have one beardie right as of now but hope to have another in the next couple weeks :). Their addicting!

yea i should keep crickets now because they stop eating them now before when i didnt know about mealworms thats all i fed them after a week or so they just stopped eating them and now that i have small supers they are hesitant to eat them cause they look like mealworms but now i think they like supers better than meals but they love their phoenix worms better than all the rest Yea they are addicting :blob8:
