My Beardie, Gizmo, really prefers Super Worms over Crickets, so I was wondering if I could cut Cricket's from her diet, and just feed her Super Worms, as well as feeding her fruits and veggies? Would Super Worms for her staple be bad for her?
Superworms are too high in fat to be anything but a treat. Have you considered dubia roaches, silkworms or phoenix worms? Dragons enjoy hornworms too. You could rotate your feeders for variety.
I have the same question. I fed my beardie phoenix worms as his staple, but they were getting to be too expensive and dying off to fast, so I moved over to superworms. The store said supers are okay as a staple and I give him 6-7 a day, with veggies.
I have found he is gaining some weight, but he was a bit under weight before.
Should I be changing back to phoenix worms, or just switching over to wax and silks in between?
Thanks.
