I have created a previous post about my beardies health under the emergency tab and have decided to write this one under this tab, because it isn't that urgent, but I would like opinions.
My beardie, Sherlock, is about 6 months old now. He just went to the vet last month for loose stool and him closing his right eye and keeping it closed. When I took him we had given him parasite medicine and they had given me drops for his eyes thinking something got in his eye and the vet had told me that it didn't seem that he lost any vision in his eye, which relieved me at the time, but at this point I think he was wrong.
Keep in mind his eye has never secreted liquid of any type, there is nothing visible on his eye, he just keeps it closed and only opens it on certain occasions.
I have a suspicion that he might have lost some, if not all, his vision in that eye. When it is feeding time if it is on his right side, his eye is open, he doesn't register the bugs at all, while the ones on his left he notices immediately and attacks them.
My question is, if he is blind in one eye now, will he be fine? He acts like his normal adventures and inquisitive self. I have looked to see if this questions was asked and found nothing. If I have a pirate beardie, I am more than alright with that, I just want to know if he will be fine and be able to adapt.
I try to do things where he can see me or see the things around him in his left, should I do anything different?
I do plan to take him to the vet again to confirm my suspicions.
Thanks!
