Hello, I have a beardie that is around 7 months old. He eats all his crickets just fine, but he isnt pooping everyday. He didnt poop from sunday of last week till thursday. But the poop thursday look completely normal. Temps are all fine, with proper UVB lights. He acts normal. Just isnt pooping as often as he used to.
What is your tank set up? What do you use for substrate (flooring)?
If the tank is not warm enough in basking area I find metabolic rate slows down. It should be over 100 degrees in basking area and I think 80-ish in cooler area.,
I will say s/t our will go a couple of days or longer especially in the winter...other times pooping daily. Perhaps try adding a bit of variety to stimulate more eating. I will roast a small acorn squash or you could try unsweetened baby food squash just a bit dotted on his greens. Grated yellow squash, green squash, carrot and turnip can be mixed into greens. Sliced raspberry, blueberry or strawberry can also stimulate interest and have fiber. Remember fruit should be no more than 10% of diet in general so it is just to induce interest.Make sure you are dusting with calcium/vit D
