So i am almost done with my beardie condo. I just took a big book case and moved around the shelves and drilled the holes and installed vents. I have it setup for 2 beardies (one above the other) and the bottom still has the original doors for dubia and supplies The only thing that i need now is the windows... which brings up a problem.
After looking online to see if i could get any decent prices for plexiglass i came upon a forum that said that plexiglass can be toxic? I did a quick search and i came up with mixed answers of course... everyone is an expert when they're behind a keyboard haha
Does anyone know if this is true or not? i know many of you guys here use plexi, has anyone ever had any problems? or even similar concerns? I just dont wanna build some toxic chamber on accident...
Plexiglass is toxic....when melted! Unless you plan on making a flaming plexiglass soup in your cage, you have no worries. Well, that's not entirely true - you may find yourself getting frustrated at the scratches from your dragons "let me out" dances
I kind of use it lol. I have to doors I just never have them on since it's summer Puff just runs all over or is in the garden. It does get scratches but mine isn't to bad. Like GoFast said nothing to worry about maybe if the light is to close and it beating on it but you won't have to worry about it. Also I noticed that I needed more ventilation and have actually bought screens as the doors. Puff didn't like that much cause he couldn't come out when he wanted but I only put them on when I go out of town for a day or so. Hope that helped
