Please help, my bearded dragon started to develop a weird white looking blister on his lower side lip a few weeks ago. It started to spread to his side upper lip when i brought him to the vet. They took a sample, liquid came out of the blister. Its been 2 weeks and I still haven't heard back. I've called and they still haven't given me an answer to what it is. It's now spread even further to the other side of his mouth. Both upper parts have oozed and crusted. It looks infected. Its making his lips stick together. I drew on the area that the blister is. Please please please help. I've started to try using diluted iodine on it. I don't know if it's fungal or what.

Is he close enough to get to his basking bulb? What are your surface basking temps and how are you taking them?

He's about a foot away, his basking temp is around 90. What do you mean how am I taking them?
What temp gauge are you using a digital probe thermometer or stick ons ? The distance is good - I am not sure how he is getting those blisters -- we need AHBD and Tracie to take a look --- Tracie is our vet tech mod
can you please post a pic of the tank and lighting

You can apply a bit of raw honey to it and should heal up just fine. Unpasteurized honey such as from a health food store or a beekeeper.

Hello,

I agree, raw unpasteurized honey should help that out. He shouldn't be too close to the light if the
distance is around a foot or so. How long has he had this issue?

Another possibility is that he's scraping his snout , maybe along the edge of the enclosure or a cave/hide . Can you post pics of the entire tank to show the lay out, lights + decor ?

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
