Looking for some information...My 2.5yr old beardie had 23 eggs on Thursday, most of them look really healthy. This is her first time laying eggs so I'm new at this too. Are they supposed to lay them all at the same time? because she had another egg on friday and another this afternoon???? Just not sure if this is normal. Please any information would be great. THANKS
Hi.
I do not have any experience with egg laying, but I do know that they can lay them over time, instead of all at once.
Maybe someone with breeding experience can help you more.
Hey guys, well my beardie layed 18 and then the week after laid another 8 and then week after that another6 or something, so they do lay them over time, but never heard of them laying individually. Have you got a incubator?? as youll have to set that up and get the ggs in ASAP and then be ready to put the future eggs in there to.
Hope this can help a lil
I do have an incubator its all set up and running I was prepared for that, have all 24 in there. I didnt think it was that normal for single eggs either, from the looks of her she still has more to go. The single ones look to be the healthiest of the bunch aswell. Thanks for the reply I just couldnt find any information on what was going on anywhere else.
Soak your girl in a warm bath and she may finnish laying. What type of laybox are you using? If she does not feel safe she will try to hold the eggs. I use a rubbermaid tub with warm moist sand. My girls go in with a lid on the top and a screened hole big enough for a heat lamp. They dig the hole lay and bury. Sometimes i get 1 or 2 eggs dropped after that in the tank but not all the time.
