Hi all! My 10 month old beardie has been having TERRIBLE diarrhea. Like destroy my 3 bedroom apartment with foul smell diarrhea. He is basking normally, acting fine, temps are all within normal range. He eats a varied diet- crickets, dubia, occasional hornworms, superworms, zucchini, other veggies, occasional fruit, (he’s not too fond of greens but he’s getting there). Since he otherwise seems totally happy I would like to try some things out before a vet visit.
Someone suggested on a Facebook group that he may have parasites, another suggested probiotics. I found a natural probiotic, and another natural anti parasitic but don’t know where to start. Start with one? Are both safe to use together? Other home remedies? Please help!!!!
Are you able to get a fecal exam done on him to determine whether or not he may have
worms or parasites so you have some type of direction?
What other foods is he eating, any type of fruits that could be giving him diarrhea?
Probiotics are very good & help balance out their tummy. What ones are you looking at?
You can try some mint & basil for help with worms or parasites, that sometimes helps plus,
it is a natural remedy, too.
Are you using a good UVB for him & are the temperatures optimal?
