So the baby looked dead for ages and then opened mouth a tiny bit when his head came out but he seems totally dead today but the egg yolk he has seems to be shrinking a little. He's over full term so not sure why he wouldn't survive if his yolk is intact and he can absorb it . I keep changing the kitchen towel to a fresh warm damp one every now and then and done a few droplets of water on the yolk, around his tummy etc. I feel I have killed him, now I'm thinking would he if lived if I wouldn't of mauled with egg. Even when he showed signs of hatching I was worrying he was dead as when candling him he never moved.

So the size of them- some seem more petite than the others but they seem teeny to me. I'll try find a measuring tape once home. I'm going on a trip for bugs because my delivery didn't come today and they don't do micro size. A pet shop said they had the next size to micro which would be fine for hatchlings but I'll check. The mum had 15eggs in total, 7 being fertile.

If you have a shipment on the way you can wait on it if it's coing within a day or 2. If the babies are only 1-2 days old they usually don't eat barely until day 3-5. And what size is micro ? Usiually it goes from pinhead [ 1/16 and up. The 1/6 is a good for hatchlings.

And don't feel that you killed the baby, it had problems already with the large amout of yolk wrapped around and was not going to make it.

Wow, huge eggs ! And this is not parthenogenesis, beardies can store sperm for unknown lengths of time which is likely what happened with her.
I know about them being able to store sperm and I mentioned this as a very likely possibility, but she (nearly) rules this out, see the other thread. I'd also say more likely no parthenogenesis but stored sperm, but in case it really can be ruled out... it would not be totally impossible (like it would be for a mammal).
It is true that many species of reptiles and even birds (!) can show parthenogenesis from time to time even if the species normally isn't using this as a way to reproduce (I put a link to a paper in the other thread but there are more). In those cases, there develops an embryo but it is not viable as of too many genetic errors, so no offspring.

I drove to pick some crickets up, they look like pinhead, super tiny andfitbetween beardies eye space. They were not interested in them. Need to takethecrickets out soon as I don't want to leave them in with them over night in case they bite the babys.

The mum has not been with a male with past owner as she was their only beardies.

Heat bulb was off here as I was switching them as first was too hot. I have a 75w in the 4ft tank. I am keeping all the climbing stuff at the hot side. I strip cleaned the tank and everything in it so it’s squeaky clean for them.
Keep an eye on them, though. Even if they are just babies they may nip and fight each other for food. When my bearded dragon was a baby, he lost one of hiwstoes by being in a tank with other babie beardies fighting for the food. The biggest one might also be the one that gets all the food and the others might starve a bit. So keep an eye out.

O.K, good for finding the tiny crickets. Can you post a pic of how you have the cricks set up ? And yes, baby beardies take a few days to want to eat. You can spritz them with water once a day, on the sides of the tank so they see the water run down and even on the babies themselves.

Looks good ! I would suggest taking out most of the veg, never use tomato [ it spoils fast ] use some greens and a few shreds of carrot. Apple spoils fast too and draws in gnats at times.

Here's how I used to feed hatchlings : Get a yogurt or cottage cheese container that is clean + dry and put a TINY pinch of calcium powder in. You don't want the cricks like powdered donuts.. Lower it in to the cricket bin, pick up a piece of the cardboard and knock just a few crickets in . Just a few to begin with because at first the beardies will only eat a few. Shake them up for a bit so they are dizzy + slow moving and drop them in right near the babies. Little beardies like the dazed, slow movement rather than a fast moving cricket which sometimes scares them. They will grow out of that fearful stage but it's good to use that method while the babies are just days - weeks old.

Thank you, I put them in a bag with calcium and vitamins and shaked before I popped them in before.

I didn’t put tomatoes in, it was red pepper as I give now and again for my beardies for vit a x

I’m having an absolute melt down. I have no ide but one of the hatchlings have escaped the tank and possibly in my kitchen diner ( where my tanks are). I have stripped all the kitchen down and set up a basking bulb. I’m even lay on the floor sleeping here in case I can hear him. Just going to put flour down now

Gus - he’s a rescue!
How much water should I be giving my bearded dragon? He will only drink from a dropper when I drop on his nose and I’m not sure if I should give it to him until he won’t drink anymore? Or should I stop after he’s had a certain amount?
Just want to check that if my beardie is ok I managed to get a video of him yawning today and screenshot him with his mouth open does he have mouth rot??? He is eating and drinking normally btw, the discoloration on his left of the mouth has been there for a month but the discoloration on his right side is new
