Movement is a great way to entice a beardie to eat. They are very much Movement triggered predators.

*disclaimer* Mirage was a 5 yo rescue. We took him for a checkup and the vet said based on his numbers he would have died within 3 weeks if we hadn't of brought him in.

When Mirage had pinworms and coccidia it took him about a week and a half to start eating bugs again. I asked my vet and she said it's normal. I did notice that taking him out of his tank and allowing his roaches/worms to run from him encouraged him to eat. It would have been a week and 3 days when he ate his first bug. I had dusted the roach (dubia) with calcium and bee polled, then set it in front of him. When he saw it running he chased after it and crunched it up. After the first bite he ate 4 more. Give it time, she'll get back to her normal self!
Thank you ❤️

Hello,

It is relatively normal yes, for their appetites to be affected after medication rounds. Is she maintaining her weight right now? You can slowly reduce the amount of food you are giving via syringe to see if her natural appetite comes back.
I hope she is feeling better!

Hello,

That is terrific to hear she had a locust today. It is improvement, so hopefully her appetite will continue
to increase.
Was she active today?

I am in the UK so just woke up. She has a poo but nothing in it just like a little lump and water but she is empty. Didn't want any food this morning. We gave her water and she drank but no food up to now.

Has eaten nothing since, giving her water everyday with electrolytes and all minerals and calcium but she is just not in the mood. Sometimes even can't be bothered waking up. These antibiotics have well and truely smashed her immune system to pieces 😞

Don't give up! Mirage took quite a while to recuperate, but he got there. Prayers for your beardies health!

Only eaten 2 worms since Monday and tried her with locust and roaches looks them but doesn't eat them. I have been giving her the yogurt still and I made her slurry with greens and squash with liquid calcium and vitamins and minerals and bee pollen, has about 1ml to 2ml of that a day but as far as live food just not taking it on, should I take her back to the vet or keep doing what I'm doing as it has been now 2 weeks since her last dose of antibiotics. She is basking and pooing.

Thank you ❤️

It might be worthwhile to drop a fecal sample off for retesting.
The two I had to treat for Coccidia took several weeks before they would eat again. (It may be different for different medications I'm not sure, both of mine were treated with the same meds). All you can do is keep trying, and keep giving the critical care, it really helps keep them going.

Hello,

How is your girl doing today?
It does take some time for them to recover, after medicine treatments, etc. You are giving a probiotic
for her right now, correct? Perhaps that might help some, along with the critical care also.

She is lively just not eating and lost a bit of weight but nothing to worrying just yet. I have been giving soya probotic yogurt for 3 weeks now. I have just ordered some critical care it is coming tonight. Still giving her plenty of water with liquid calcium and vitamins.

Thank you ❤️

Sorry bother everyone again went to give my dragon some probotics before and after it she like made a very light gasping noise and swallowed about 3 or 4 times and didn't do it again, is it possible she now has a respotory infection or just weak?

Sorry for all the questions.
