I was just thinking of snacks that may be interesting to give to my bearded dragon. I was also eating a penutbutter and jelly sandwich at lunch. I had a thought should I share or what. I didn't yet not till I got some ideas. He is 2 1/2 years old and healthy. So whats your thoughts. Yes or no.

Hello,

The short answer is NO.
bearded dragons should NEVER eat typical human food (sweets especially) at all because they cannot digest these types of things properly because they are not humans and could lead to digestive issues, Impaction, Poisoning (depends on the food), and Other health problems.

If you would like to give your beardie a treat I would recommend following this feeding chart: http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html This is basically what I follow and is very helpful. I think that you should check it out. :)

Thanks for answering my question. I was wondering. I kinda knew they were not susposed to eat things we do. I have not gave him any so don't worry. I know they can eat some things we do like vegetables and fruits. Penutbutter and jelly just sounded good. :)

Ok good. :) Just do not try to feed him any more human food like that because it could cause some serious digestive issues.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
