So i was feeding my Tegu and i went over to grab some dubias, one of the old males in the colony that i was gonna let her chase around and eat. However when i went to expect it to make sure it wasnt young or anything i noticed a little white worm wiggling out of its lower half. Which I've seen this before in another one of my males however that one was dead so i figured it was fruit flys a while back. However this one was live and quite healthy, eating, drinking, and seemingly active.
So what is this white worm attached to my dubia?
Probably a parasite. It's fairly common for feeder insects to carry parasites, especially when you buy them from unknown or less-than-reputable sources. Where did you get these?
