How can I know for sure if Padme is gravid?

She was with a male about 3 weeks ago..but he didn't seem super interested...and I was almost positive they had not mated.

But Padame is eating like its her job...I really think she would eat until she threw up. I have been giving her about 6 or 7 super and then her salad....but I bet she would eat 20+ supers if I gave them to her. (But supers have the chitin..so I don't want to overdo it). Should I just give her a few supers...and then as many hornworms as she'll eat?? (I have atleast 100 1inch hornworms) .

Today she ate 5 or 6 supers and a 3.5 inch hornworm...some butternut squash..some acorn squash, a cherry and 3 bites of a banana. She is enormous. I was thinking maybe its just because she's pigging out.....but...I weighed her tonight and she is 468grams! Just 3 weeks ago she was 405!?!

Her belly does look really thick...I don't see anything that looks like eggs..but she is huge!

I guess I will know for sure in the next week or so! In the mean time I will be preparing a lay box...and incubator :)

You can try to feel around the underside of the belly and check to see if you feel anything that feels like eggs.

Hubby is in denial. He says..she is just fat because I feed her way too much! Is it possible that she would gain 60+ grams from simply eating...over the course of 3 weeks? Padme is just over 2 years old and 17.5 inches...so the 60+ grams is all in the belly area...she is not still "growing".

What do you guys think?
Ill get a pic tomorrow :)

If you put a female with a male and do not watch every moment they are together, assume gravid with this info. Feeling for eggs has seldom worked for me and is really just a myth in my mind. Watch her and be ready for her to lay in 21-35 days.

It's not a myth. I've used it lots of times. You definitely CAN feel eggs if they are in there.

Thank you guys!

I have heard that you can NOT always tell there are eggs in there. I will keep a close eye on her and watch for the signs :)

Well unless your dragon weighs like 5lbs, its kinda hard to miss feeling 20+ good sized eggs in a females stomach lol.

I have questions about bubbles on our bearded dragons eye.

So he’s gotten bubbles on his eye. We wiped them off and it’s only been twice in the last few weeks. Should we be concerned? No coughing or congestion. He’s very hungry and sleeps well. He’s 8-9 month range. His humidity is 30-40 day time and as high as 50-55 at night to early morning.
Should we be concerned?
Swordtail has been doing a whole lot of "Lizard yoga" lately
Currently trying not to stress over my anemic dragon....she is being treated, but I don't agree with her treatment plan and have been seeking out a second opinion from another vet. If anyone else has dealt with anemia, please let me know how it was resolved. I am losing sleep over this
Another post lol. My beardie does not like enclosures. Her tank is the kids room and she has created a nesting/bed spot in the corner. She will cuddle with my son but she know when the lights are out and the kids go to sleep, she literally goes to her bed like she is our 3rd baby. I love her. And to think, I never wanted a beardie lol
