Hey all. Just a quick question - how many medium size phoenix worms a day would be considered overfeeding? Or should I keep to the whatever Kalec can eat in 10 minute rule? He's eating 15-20 medium worms a day, and I believe he is around two months old. He is approximately (eyeballing, as I don't have a ruler) 7-8 inches snout to tail tip. He's eating a bit of collard greens and yellow squash as well, but not much of it.
I let Angus eat as many as he could in a 10 mins span, that's why PW's are so expensive 'cause they can eat a lot of them. But they are a good staple because they are high in calcium. What I did was give PW's for breakfast and crix for dinner with his salad in there during the day.
Will keep giving him however many he wants then! It's actually cheaper for me to buy the Phoenix Worms (I found a shop near where I live that sells them) as I can't order crickets in bulk due to my roommate/landlord not wanting them around. So I'd have to buy crickets from PetSmart and they're still expensive even with my employee discount. None of the my coworkers who own reptiles (most of the Pet Care department!) buy crickets from the store - they all feed Phoenix worms or breed their own feeders.
FC goes through 100 a day. which is why he only gets them once a month. ill buy two and itll last 2-3 days. he just LOVES them and it'l like a treat for him. Is that too much?
