Over heated

This morning a cold front came in and I had the heater on in my room before I went to work at 8. My bearded dragons cage didn't change temps at all and it was on all night, if anything it dropped a little. I was running late and I forgot to turn the heater off, I remembered after I got to work, but because I was told It was going to be freezing all day , I didn't think twice about it. I had a 20 min lunch and the temps changed from 42 to 85 in a few hours .i went back to work and my mom called me when she went to go feed him and told me that the room was swelteringly hot and she could only stand being in the room for a few seconds because my door was closed. she said Làsko had his mouth open and he wasn't moveing very much. She turned off the heater and turned on the air and let the room air out. She said he was eating crickets just fine. I'm not too sure what the temps were in my room and I'm so nervous that I hurt him internally without meaning to. I won't get home for another 5 hours . I don't know what's wrong with him, if anything at all. Is there anyone that knows what could've happened? Could he be dehydrated or hurt interally? Any help is appreciated !

Did your mom see him eat after the incident ? If so, that's a good sign. Be sure to give him a lukewarm soak,[ stay with him to be sure he doesn't go under if he's weak] and/or offer extra water via syringe or gently with a spray bottle [ on his snout ] Keep an eye on him to see if he's very lethargic or displays neurological problems...staggering, circling, etc.

Yes , she tried to feed him right after and after a little coaxing he ate them . I asked her to give him a supervised bath and to watch him. Thank you so much! How long should I watch him like this for? A few days?

Make sure to give him a bath and eat lots of greens. if he seems to be acting normal by the time you go to bed tonight, he should be ok. Just as a precautionary though, make sure he has plenty of wet greens, and a water dish fresh every day for the next couple days. it wouldn't hurt to give him a bath tonight, and again in the morning to make sure he's well hydrated if you have to leave again early tomorrow.

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?
