He was lost 36 hours ago in an unsupervised moment
We have no idea where he is, and we have looked in every place we could, multiple times, high and low in the house
Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated
We love him and miss him so so much
If you can, set up a basking spot near where you saw him last. You'll need to look inside stuff, gently flip furniture over, check up inside with a flashlight.
Anything that could be climbed like curtains that touch the floor, behind/on top of books on shelves, in boxes, laundry baskets, inside dressers.
Don't give up, she is around somewhere
If he is in a small dark area, he might not come out for heat. You need to keep looking, even in places already searched.
Is he a little baby? All my escaped critters always ended up in a closet behind a box.
No we don't have any other pets. He was placed on a pillow that was on the couch downstairs. I went to the kitchen upstairs for maybe 2 mins and came back he was gone. Our stairs are polished wood so he couldn't climb them. We have a media room, living room, bedroom and bathroom downstairs. Plus a garage and we've torn everything apart several times.
It is very frustrating when your dragon goes missing. However, since he is inside & not outside,
the chances of finding him are very good if there isn't any way he can get out of that room.
Always look up & look down. Like if you have curtains, you could look on those, behind them,
etc or any cables from a tv or computer on the floor are popular items people tend to find them
on or around. Under cabinets, tv entertainment centers, a hamper, just don't give up. You could
get some crickets & place them in a plastic bin big enough for them to run around in, with food,
etc & he might be attracted to the noise or movement. Did you put a basking light out in case he
comes looking for warmth?
Good luck & hopefully you will find him soon.
Thank goodness he showed up ---- please dont let him out anymore till he is acclimated to the tank and surroundings ---- he needs to be supervised when hes out and I recommend not till hes bigger --
