Opening mouth slightly

This is my little girl Ivy - she’s been acting normal, energetic as always, will sprint to me when she sees food and attack and jump at me before I can even sit down to feed her so absolutely no loss in appetite - but today she’s been opening her mouth a bit slightly and I’m worried, noticed a little saliva too while she had her mouth opened while basking and noticed bubbles? Apparently bubbles are a sign of an upper respiratory infection (photo attached) but could it just be her saliva? This was immediately after eating a hornworm / fed her water with a syringe. She’s also shedding she has a little patch on her back & her head has been white for a week

Looks like she’s gaping which is normal when basking. Is she breathing heavily? Appearing to be breathing through her mouth?

No shes not breathing heavy and only had her mouth open a bit, for like 5 min. I put a vid of her breathing, this is how she always breathes - She’s now basking again lol. Could her nose be shedding? I usually help when her nose sheds but I don’t see it now. Everything else seems to be fine was just worried about the mouth opening

She’s also ALWAYS freaking ready to eat. She’ll literally tap the glass to call me and feed her or when she sees me walking by she’ll come to the front bc she associates me with food lol

That’s good! great appetite from a beardie. How old is she btw? Also they open their mouths when they reach a certain comfortable temperature and try to maintain it by doing so. It’s totally normal and completely fine, in fact it often means they likes it.

If she’s opening her mouth like that on the cool side then it means the tank is too hot tho. Also she doesn’t seem to have any nose shed going on now, you’ll most definitely notice the nose trumpets when that happens 😂 She’s super cute!

She is a very pretty dragon, i agree with Groggy. If they gape when basking that is normal, if gaping on the cool side your habitat may be to warm. If you see mucus or bubbles at her nostrils thats a sign of ri, stringy saliva is dehydration.

Hello,

Very sweet girl, there. Double check the temperatures to be sure she isn't getting too hot. They
release heat that way, or by gaping. They do have a normal amount of saliva & if it is clear then
I wouldn't be alarmed. It is if you see it thick or off colored, is when it might be a problem.
If her nose is going to shed then she might not be able to breathe very well, either.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
