It seems like the more uncomfortable it looks to us the more comfy it is to them. The equivalent of a memory foam mattress and down comforter with puffy pillow.

I remember Hazel when she would all the time hang her legs off of her old log since there was a "U" shape on the end of it. She would sit herself on it and just let her legs dangle always moved her off but she always went back to it. It was like her "default" pose when basking
