one egg laid

i bought a 2.5 yo female over the weekend and she is carrying eggs. Last night i found one egg laying on the floor of her tank. i know she has more than that. i have a camera set up on her nesting box and she hasn't started digging yet but she is extremely active. my questions are, what do you think it means that she laid the one egg? do you think it's likely she could loose the entire clutch? is it normal for some females to be very active prior to nesting?
