I always noticed the bottom area but after starting at Rocky for 30 minutes minutes...wow. flat lips

Ok I'm done.

Yeah, but I been pulling their lips down to administrator meds and water for years
Remember when I had to pry Ruby's mouth open, it was his mouth not lips. It's hard me to explain what only makes sense in my head. Lol

I never had to do so (but likely that's the case as I just have 1 beardie and he's 1.5 years old so pretty young and also not a rescue), but I did it once just to check whether he tolerates it, how it feels doing so, and what to expect in case I need to do.

By the way: Taco is currently shedding... the lips. Not much appetite, obviously.

It's the easiest on the side towards the back. If I have to syringe anything I use my thumb crossways under their chin to just pull the lips open enough to put the syringe in. It pulls down really easy there. I then slide the syringe gently forward towards their nose. Usually by then they have tasted whatever is in the syringe and will start lapping.
Where I'm going with that is as I move the syringe forward I can see the lips opening up around it. That's how I personally realized they had them. At first I assumed thier mouth was ridged like a turtle

I did it that way when I tried it, and Taco had no problem with that. (Generally, I can touch him everywhere.)
I had, however, not really put anything in as there was no need to do so, and I had no syringe at home as I never had needed one for whatever purpose.
(However, in case, I could get one at the pharmacy, there are several pharmacies around here.)

If you ever have to do it don't try to force it past his teeth, you could injure him. Generally by the time you slide it up towards the snout they will start trying to chew on it anyways. That's why it's important to not use glass. Their bite is sufficiently strong enough to break glass.

I know you wouldn't personally use glass, but others read these post so I just wanted to include the warning 🙂

Really important!
Indeed, I would not use glass. (The confusion once just occurred as I wrote "eye dropper" without actually knowing in detail what this is (=that it is made of glass), as I never had to use one neither for my eyes nor for some other purpose and just had seen images of how these look like. When I want to give my dragon a bit of extra water - which he barely takes, and poop is well hydrated - I drop it directly with my finger on his snout.)

And for completeness: Also would, of course, not use a syringe with a needle, or anything made of metal in a dragon's mouth.
Also for food served on a spoon (I occasionally (rarely) feed tuna fruit and to avoid a mess that's only hand-feed reaching him a spoon from which he grabs it) I bought a thick wooden spoon so my dragon won't get injured by biting down hard on metal, or on a plastic spoon which would break.
