So, you guys know Nova started laying her very first infertile clutch september 7th. And between that time frame and like 26th, she laid 54 eggs. You also know about taking her to uga, finding out the spay survival rates are crap and the heart disease and fatty liver disease, etc, etc.
Well, when she had her ultrasound on October 2nd, they said that she had about 30 follicles, but that they could still be reabsorbed, no actual eggs yet and that it'd be a few weeks before they became eggs anyway. She's been showing some nesting behavior, pacing and wanting in and out of her box and wanting out and the last week, she was acting like she's starving to death but I haven't been able to get her to eat at all today. She went poop for the second time today a little while ago and laid an egg. One single, kinda squishy egg. Wtf.?? Was it one left behind.? If that's the case, could there be more and could it be a risk, especially eggs hanging around this long.? Or is it possible the follicles are already forming into eggs less than two weeks of the follicles appearing.?? We have an appointment tomorrow morning but like... wtf, guys. What the hell do we do.?? What can we do.??
Also, she had an IO catheter at uga and that kind goes into the bone so the first few days, she was swollen and limping real bad. But it went down a bit and it got a bit better but today, it looks twice as bit and when she walks, she'll sometimes drag her hand and when she stops walking, she'll stop with her hand bent backwards so she's basically standing on her wrist. Could it be possible to injur it further by walking around.? I don't know much about IO catheter, just that they basically drill a hole in the bone and can take a few weeks.
