So, chris took Nova to uga today. First off, the stuff the vet was telling him was different than she told me.

She told me to referr to my local vet and when I told her we did, and she wasn't concerned, but that was also a few days prior to that phone call. She weighed 815 at our local vet and when I called uga, she was weighing at 825. She was like, "well that's weird but without seeing her, I can't tell you much of anything definitely. So if you want, you can make an appointment and we'll look at her and see". And she asked about her bugs. I explained we were giving her one bug for the meds and another one or two to wash her mouth out with because they're gross and I didn't want to ruin her taste for hornworms. At that time, the vet said that was fine. It got her to take her meds no problem.

But now, at the vet, she's telling Chris that it's not fine at all, and she should only be eating the bugs twice a week, and only a couple each time. So, like a total of six bugs a week and only suggested an appointment because I "sounded frantic". So, she pretty much threw me under the bus and told Chris totally different stuff. 🙄😑

But, they did an ultrasound/probe to make sure no bit of ovaries were left behind or any follicles, and there wasn't any follicles, either. They said she looked great and whatnot and then they weighed her on their scale. Leaving surgery, she was 864, today, (on their scale) she was 814 and we're actually a little concerned with the loss so she said once a week, she can have whatever she'll eat for 30 minutes. They don't want her loosing more than like 6 grams a month. But otherwise, they're unsure of the weight gain/loss and are otherwise not real concerned. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️😮‍💨

It was definitely a bit frustrating, but good to know she isn't concerned, she also said her tail looked fine.

Nova is doing great. She's alert, active and wanting to run around, and her colors are real bright and she's shedding. The vet said we can do a light soak now, like let her soak in her water bowl for a bit. She's recovering great, thankfully.

Oh lawddd you have no idea. I'm a little worried about, like, her stitches catching on something, but she's really good about holding her belly up when she walks.

Man she's hell on wheels now. She got up this morning and immediately started dragging herself frantically around her tank because her belly is shedding and then proceeded to slap me multiple times because I tried to help. 😂😂

Sidebar, we've finally got the girls completely separated from the boys. They're in a different room, and the boys stayed in the room they were in and Dreki's entire personality has changed.

Before, she wouldnt bask often, shed stay in the back corner on her log. We assumed it was because, if toothless is close to his glass, he can see her and while she didn't seem stressed out, maybe it was anyway. But now, she's basking all day and even falling asleep in that spot. And before, she never batted an eye or gave a second glance to any of the other lizards. Even when they'd peck at her tank, shed just give them a side eye and 100% ignore them, but now... i had her out and she saw Nova, which is nothing new. She's never cared before. But she bolted off the bed and ran as fast as she could and was frantically trying to get to novas tank and was headbobbing and ive NEVER seen her act this way, even in the slightest.

Why do i have such weird lizards.😂😂

Oh wow, she acting like a boy lol.
Right.?!? I mean, Nova has headbobbed/foot stomped at Dreki and the boys before and has even gotten off the bed to "go after" dreki in her tank or when they're both on the bed, but never this frantically. I had Dreki sitting on my chest and she was turned to look at Nova and I saw the tip of her tail started wagging, almost like a frisky cat before she bolted to aggressively foot stomp and headbob. They look like they're throwing a tantrum😂😂

Hello,

Wow, it sounds like she is doing very well & is active also! They sure can be dominating sometimes,
& it's definitely entertaining to watch.
That's good her tail is looking better. I hope her shedding goes well for her!

I can’t wait to see Dr.Wilson be a big dragon but I try to cherish hard the moments while he still fits in my hand 🦎
It’s been a month since I’ve joined bd.org! It feels like it’s been longer than that, but I’m glad I’m here and apart of this lovely community!
I can feel her staring into my soul demanding food
She was having a staring contest with a mealworm. I guess I never taught her to not play with her food, lol.
