Asking about night time temps... do I HAVE to drop temps to 65/70 F° overnight? Is it ok if it remains around 75/80 F°? Just wondering if it could affect him. Because sometimes it still remains around that, even though we live in a colder area between September to May...

You could look into a little bit better ventilation in the tank to drop it down a bit at night. Unless your house is sticking around 75-80, your enclosure should end up matching the ambient temp in your house after a bit with the lights out.

A cool down period at night is more natural, and IMO is important. But if there is nothing you can do about it for a part of the year it isn't going to make or break your beardies health.

Thank you 😁
I do sometimes have no choice but to run a ceramic heat emitter, as it gets really chilly sometimes and I worry he will get much too cold. But I have everything connected to a thermostat controlling the temps. His tank is on the smaller side right now. But the 4x2x2 will FINALLY be here on the 5th, and I know that will help a bunch!

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
cookie event at my library today, quite fun! Made some bracelets for my comrades too, to give them at church in the morning. Got a busy day tomorrow even though I’m off work… i go back on tuesday so atleast I’ll have 2 days off to rewind….then back to hell lol
