Hi everyone. I need some advice. I have 2 bearded dragons. My male is 4.5mos old and weighs 133 grams. His basking spot 105 and I use reptisun tube 10.0 for uvb. My female is 7.5mos old and weighs 51grams. She lost 2 grams in about a week. Her basking spot is 105 and I use a reptisun tube 10.0 for uvb. They are housed in separate enclosures. Their substrate is ceramic tile.
I feed them Dubia Roaches sprinkled with calcium powdered and bee pollen and greens. My male eats like a pig and my female eats very little and does not eat greens. However my female does poop everyday which looks normal.
My questions are, why is there such a dramatic difference in weight between the two and how can I get my female to grow and gain weight.
It is hard to give a reason why one dragon grows & gains weight at a
faster pace than another one. Genetics play a huge role in growth
rates, etc.
Is the lighting the exact same in each enclosure also?
You could try making some slurries for her. Mix some squash or sweet
potato together with some blended greens a few times per week to see
if that can help with weight gain.
Do you have any pictures of them, for reference?
