She looks pretty healthy, from what ive learned before 12 months old its fine for them to eat tons of insects, and dubias are one of the best feeders out there so i wouldnt worry too much. Though i'd start offering collard greens, turnip greens etc so she wont become overweight in the future as they do need veggies in their diet once they become older.
Hi, She looks healthy to me too. At that age range, I would start incorporating some greens/veggies into the diet. Here is a great website to take a look at: http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html
Thank you for the help. I am glad she does not appear to be overweight. I have been offering her greens in the morning like collard and mustard. She does eat a fair amount of them. I will make sure to give her a variety of them into the future. Can I just let her pig out on Dubias every night?
I also will have a 36 inch reptisun mounted in her cage (75 gallon) to replace her little compact UVB they were using by monday. Her basking temp is about 103 so I felt that was good. She just had her first bath ever the other day and I will be giving them to her regularly to help remove stuck shed and help her shed better in the future.
You're welcome. Is the Reptisun is a t8 or T5HO? 10.0 as well? I would feed the greens/veggies first and then let her eat as many dubias she wants in 10 to 15 mins
She does look good....greens in the a.m. is an excellent idea, loads of nutrients in them. Some people will say she needs all the insects several times a day but that can lead to obesity + gout. BTW, when you feed the dubias, don't give them anything that has protein, just feed them the same veggies that your dragon eats and other types as well.
