Hi I'm Jess I'm a newbie beardie mom. We got our baby Reaper a week ago and he has his little clawed toes wrapped so tightly around my heart is ridiculous
This little guy is a nut and he's been eating around 50-60 crickets a day which is crazy considering he's only 6.5 inches long and only weights 11.6 grams I'm not having much luck with his greens He will only eat them if hand fed and he'll only eat a few pieces a day, we just started on baths today and he seems to like it. He's so friendly and he's full of shenanigans. I love it! he also gives me the beardie version of puppy dog eyes when he wants to come out and play lol
I've really enjoyed reading the forums and seeing pix of everyone's dragons
I've also made some newbie mistakes and some really nice people here have helped me a lot. I can't wait to talk to other beardie parents
He's a handsome one.. don't worry about the greens.. both of my babies wouldn't eat them that young, but you should always offer a small dish each day w/ them and eventually they'll realize they can snack on them.. w/ the hand feeding I'd shy away from that, you don't want your lil' guy associating your fingers w/ food.. when he's ready to start eating them he will on his own.. if you want to encourage him try just putting him in front of them whenever you place them in his viv.. he'll eventually catch on.. my 8-month-old, Crixus now eats 2 dishes a day of greens w/ a bit of squash and is now slowing a bit on live feeders..
