Hi there
Well gaspar has now been here about a week and ive assessed that hes not that keen on salad, loves the big hoppers and less keen on anything else! Hes got silent crickets in his viv but just watches them scuttle rather than eat them. Should I take them out and if so can anyone give handy hints on how to catch them please!! Many thanks! ISOM
Hi Yes i would take them out if he is not eating them,
I just used to empty the entire viv of woods etc... and just try my best to grab them :dontknow: sorry i can't be of more help... i know its difficult!
Practice makes perfect, after a few months you will be a master at catching crickets - in the viv, in the keeper you keep them in, in your bathroom where you'll find the escapees, and generally speaking anywhere!!!
I wouldn't put them in the tank, but try feeding you dragon in a separate bin. Feed as many as he'll eat in 10-15 minutes, and catch the rest in that small contained spot and put them back in the critter keeper. Easier than taking out the viv furniture out every time and makes sure you got them all so they don't harrass your beardie if they stay in the viv.
