Hi again another in probably a long string of stupid questions but I really want to give my girl the best I can
Right she is probably 2 months old and probably 8-10" I've had her for a month and she was the runt of the group . Her diet consists of crickets 5 days a week sprinkled with calcium 3 days a week, small superworms as treats 2 days a week and daily fruits and veggies consisting of Kale, Collered greens, Zuchinni, cucumber, mango and bell peppers, I've heard a lot about dubia roaches but the wife has strong opinions about bringing them in the house haha is there anything I'm missing in her diet ?
At your beardies age, you should be dusting her feeders with calcium 5 days a wk but only on 1 feeding a day and then dust with vitamins the other 2 days a wk but again, only on 1 feeding a day. Phoenix (repti-worms) worms are also a very good feeder, especially for young beardies. Another good choice is small silkworms. Would go easy on the superworms even though they are small as some beardies have a problem digesting them. Are you offering her all the feeders she wants to eat 3 times a day in about a 10 to 15 min timeframe each time?
How are you getting your baby to eat that much? Mine won't. I hand feed mine crickets, that's all it will eat. It will not touch veggies at all. I have tried and tried to get it to eat veggies with no luck. It really only eats if I hand feed it, and sometimes ( only sometimes) runs off as I'm feeding it and hides ( especially if someone comes into the room). I have only had it for about three weeks. It only eats 3-10 crickets a feeding twice a day, sometimes three times a day. I fear it is not eating enough, but it will not eat any more than that. It's pretty small, maybe 4 or 5 inches including the tail, don't know if it should be eating more or not.
