New Year, same crap

Rocky started banging at 5am. I left the room at 4:50 to use the restroom and went into the other room because I knew he would get up. I heard the loud banging and it was Rocky.
I let him out, he wanted me to open the blinds. I did but he couldn't see so he ran around the bed.
It was too early for the shenanigans.
I put him back in his enclosure, he ran and banged...I tried to ignore him.
Right now, he's in the window happy.

Sinatra has started doing the same thing. It's none stop now.

It's funny because when I'm on the phone and someone asks, "what's that banging nose?" I respond m "beardies.... they are asking to come visit!"

WOW... I swear Christina was just telling me that on her zoom calls people ask about the noise and then want to see the beardies when she explains. (She works 100% from home now and the beardies and computer desk are all in the dining room)

Hmm thats interesting...Mirage seems so well behaved 🤣
He pretty much just chills. Crawls around his tank, plays in the moss, goes in his hide, and basks. I have his tank near a window and a little stone arch thingy for him to climb on so he can see out the window. He never "bangs". Though, when I'm doing class (Online school for the win!) my classmates can hear him scratching. He likes to go into his hide and dig in the moss. When I get him out, he runs around a bit then finds a nice place to settle down. I will let him lay around for about 15 minutes then put him back in the tank. I can touch him anywhere and do anything with him.

I think it helps that the previous owner (Mirage is a rescue) had a two year old. Thats the reason they were getting rid of him. They were originally going to euthanize him :(
They thought that he was "at the end of his life" because he was sleepy and lethargic all the time. In reality they didn't care for him properly and he had pinworms and coccidia.

He's all healthy now though! 5 years old (we think) and going strong!

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
cookie event at my library today, quite fun! Made some bracelets for my comrades too, to give them at church in the morning. Got a busy day tomorrow even though I’m off work… i go back on tuesday so atleast I’ll have 2 days off to rewind….then back to hell lol
