New Upgraded Enclosure, Suggestions on lighting???

Upgrading my 1 year old beardie's enclosure from a 40 gallon to a 120 gallon mansion :) (4x2x2). That being said I'm trying to make sure I upgrade the lighting/heating if needed as well but finding it very overwhelming online what to get, use, etc:(:(:(

I currently have a 160W Zoo Med UVA/B bulb for my 40 gallon tank along with a ceramic heater I use for winter. I currently put the dome with the bulb on the top of the tank screen mesh and was going to do that on this new enclosure... Wondering if I need to get additional lighting/heating, etc. for the new bigger enclosure?

Please help!!!

Thanks:)
Kathy

Congratulations tobyour beardie for the upgrade 😄
The mvb may be hard to get the basking temp and uvb exposure to idea especially in a bigger setup. I'd recommend getting the Arcadia pro t5 desert 12% or the ZooMed and mounting it inside the habitat, and using a separate bulb for basking. You can arrange them so there is overlap of the two and the basking temp can be adjusted independently.

I agree. A incandescent or halogen (BR40 or PAR38) bulb should work well for basking heat. You can typically find these at a hardware store but they are getting tougher to find due to changes in energy efficiency regulation. You can still get one at a pet store, but they tend to cost more. The Arcadia Pro T5 is an excellent choice for UVB. That should sit roughly 12'' above the main basking area for best results. Keep the MVB as a portable basking spot for travel or outside the tank time. It should work well if you have a clamp for it or an adjustable stand you can set up and hang the fixture from.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
