Hi guys, I have had saltwater fish tanks for almost my whole life , i have a cubby in my room that wasnt used so i filled it in with a fish tank. I realized that i already had enough fish tanks and decided to take the one down in my room and focus on our 400g reef tank. That said , i have wanted a BD since i was 8 and decided NOW is the time to start. I like my animals to have the best, so i go all out or them. I want to build a enclosure for my room for the 2 flame bearded dragons i plan on getting after this is built. I understand that BD's are very sensitive to certain chemicals and materials.
What would do i need to use to build the enclosure?
What materials do i need to build it?
well you can use plywood i used a birch veneer plywood-10 ply. which was pretty expensive at 47-50 dollars a sheet depends where you go to. alot of people use melamine which is convenient cause its already sealed. i dont know the price for melamine though. and since you have two beardies i would suggest making a double viv just like newowner2 did just half of that. you dont want to put your beardies together in one cage. it WILL result in something bad happening. also just look around the forums for more info...theres way more info than i have
im just warning you..you have to make two cages cause they will fight to the death, you could have one end up with missing limbs and tails..i dont think you would want that to happen. bearded dragons get territorial and even dont like when other bds are in the same room. i just bought glass for my smaller bds cage and it was 13 bucks...plexi glass is mad expensive and it scratches easily, glass is way better
