Hey everyone! I found a reptile rescue right here where I live! I couldn't believe I never knew about them. They are called CCSB reptile rescue and rehab center. The man there was so nice! I went there and picked up this BIG man. He's a little skittish but has been settling in very well. We came home and had a bath where he pooped after a few minutes. After that we came in the living room to bask in dome natural sunlight and he really loved that. He was sitting on his new green blanket and all of a sudden tried to eat it Haha, so I went and made him a little salad aND he immediately started chowing down. He's real overweight. I was told he has been on supers 3x a week and veg the rest. Any idea on How to help him slim down?
Here's some pictures. We are thinking of naming him pancake
I think so? The rescue I got him from said he was. I will check with the flashlight test. Honestly I lifted his tail to check and he is so fat I couldn't tell at all.
OMG please don't say that lol. I don't know if he was or not but he did say the lady he got the beardie from was another rescue and she tends to fatten them up. when I feel the belly I don't feel anything but chub. His legs are even meaty and his chin in huge
Imo that last picture looks like a female. She can lay infertile eggs without a male. You can't always feel the eggs. If she starts digging, having small poops, not eating much then she'll be ready to lay. Then you need to make a lay box . A tote with a couple feet deep and damp sand is what you need.
