Hi everyone. We have 2 beardies. Nessie is the baby. We brought him home last week, for my daughters birthday. Please excuse his tank pic was take. As we were decorating it. Mattcha is our other beardie. We actually rescued her from a uneducated owner, she was underweight and dehydrated, no lights etc. we are remodeling a 100 gallon tank for her.

Hi Nessie and Mattcha! Welcome! Mattcha is a lucky girl getting her big tank soon 😄
This is the tank we are remodeling. Am trying to find the best heat and UVB set up, esp w it being a bigger tank.

Welcome to the forum-- dragons need floor space not height- tall tanks are very hard to keep the temps in - please get some digital probe thermometers - they are the most accurate - I saw in one of the tanks just a stick on its giving ambient temps only you want surface basking temps and a long tube UVB fixture --- for a 40 + gallon tank I recommend a 24" fixture like a Zoo Med w/ a 22" Reptisun 10.0 T 5 or a Arcadia Pro T 5 w / a 12% bulb -- if everything in the tank is adequate / correct your dragons will thrive -- but they need the correct surface basking temps of 105-110 for a baby and 95-100 for a 6 month - adult dragon --

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
