Earlier this year, I bought a bearded dragon from PetSmart. But it was apparently sick when I got it. I took it to the vet and it had to stay there for a while. It was being force fed and given antibiotics. It seemed to have improved and gotten a bit more active, but ended up dying anyway. The vet said that he would try to find me a healthy one. I can say that I will never buy a pet from PetSmart again. Since then, I have seen quite a few dead lizards there.
Anyways, a few weeks ago, my parents took one of our dogs to the vet, and surprised me by coming home with a new bearded dragon. The vet said she looks like she's about a year and a half old. He got her from a woman who rescues bearded dragons. It took me a long time to think of a name, but I named her Freyja.
Here's a picture of her I took yesterday. She usually turns this color when I take her out of her tank. From what I read, this means she is happy. This was the first time I had her in my room. What kind of bearded dragon is she?
It looks like she's wearing gold eyeshadow! And it looks like she's got lilac on her back, too. She definitely lives up to her name. All she needs now is a really fancy collar for special occasions and a feather cloak.
