New Harness

LMAO Okay, so I bought Clapton a harness & leash. It was really cute in the picture, it's black & says SECURITY on the back. When I first tried it on, it seemed too big. Well, I just tried it again. I put him down to see if he could walk okay in it. It took him 30 seconds to squiggle right out of it, like taking off a t-shirt! So that was a fail. Live & learn. :ROFLMAO:
I'll take a picture & post it.

Is your dragon still growing?

When I bought my dragon a harness, it was ways too large on the smallest setting, is now just fitting on the largest setting and I almost had to make it larger on my own.
If yours won't fit, I could suggest the one I'm using: It's from the brand "Nectarlee" and available in the US.
(I'm not using the attachable "dragon wings" the harness comes with, and I bought an extra leash (a bright neon cat leash) as the one it comes with is rather stiff and more for use inside of a carrier. But the harness itself is superb!)

I believe so. He's not growing quite as fast as he had been, but he's a year & a half so I imagine he is still going to get bigger. I'll try to remember that brand name. This one is not adjustable.

IMHO adjustable is a must.

From the one I use, Taco cannot wiggle out and also never tried to do so. Just when he was smaller and the smallest setting was still too large, it literally fell off.

What I also like about it is that the fabric (looks like leather, but is fabric) doesn't catch on the spikes. There are elastic straps going around the belly, and the cutout of the back part matches very well beardie anatomy (especially the neck shield, it goes nicely under and around my dragon's neck shield).
If it would break, I would buy it again or would make my own lookalike of it.

I also looked into harnesses intended for small mammals, but they were either too large (for ferrets) or not adjustable and made for a more cylindrical body shape (for rats or squirrels) or the fabric of a type where I suspect it doesn't work well with a spiky animal like a bearded dragon (some made for small mammals had a mesh fabric covering the whole back like a vest, would work with fur and is intended to be "breathable", so to allow for air circulation - I think it catches on the spikes).

I'm going to look for the one you mentioned right now.

Okay the one you mentioned is out of stock. The other ones I saw look better but I still wonder how they'd work. He may just be too small still. The picture when I ordered it looked like this:
But the reality was more like this:

flame also has a harness but its dragon wings, the pack comes with 3 different size arm holes so one of them fits him, he doesn't walk on it tho, he just tries to run off and do his own thing.😂

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?
