New Enclosure and question....

I recently upgraded to a 120 gallon terrarium. (She LOVES it!!!) Just wanted to make sure all is good with the set-up. 2 hides, Arcadia 24 inch t5 UVB 13 inches from the basking log, 2 100 watt basking bulbs, vinyl flooring.....My question is, is it okay to have the basking area in the middle of the tank, or does it need to be off to the side to create a gradual shift from hot to cool?

No your tank looks great - just watch the surface basking temps-- 2 100 watt bulbs is a lot - the piece of decor your stick that can be placed w/ the long stick part that's in the air layed down on the floor w/ the trunk part up- it makes a great piece for giving gradient temps - I use them in my two tanks-

Will keep an eye on the temps, about 20 minutes after setup, the temp on the basking log was 95-96. Will try tipping the stick over. Thanks!

How did you get that temp? For 2 100 watt bulbs it should be way hotter than that-- your better off using a digital probe thermometer to get the surface basking temp IR guns are good but will not give an accurate reading off certain material - probes are the best way to measure

Let it sit on her basking spot for about 20 minutes....what do you use for basking bulbs, and are they in or out of the enclosure?

You were right the basking spot got up to 102. Need to pull it back a bit. What wattage basking bulb do you use for your tank? Also, my UVB is a 12%, is that good enough, or should I go to 14%?
Your uvb is good just make sure your distance is 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor - at the moment I am using a 100 watt on the hot side and a 75 watt in the middle of the tank-- I have two basking areas- one in the middle behind the uvb that basking decor piece has heat in the 90's then hot side ranges from 95-100 or so depending on where he sits- your 102 is good

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
