I am a new bearded dragon owner. I adopted her from Southern Reptile Saviors. I was looking for about a month straight, everyday on bearded dragon forums and sites to get as much information as I could. After knowing all the info i needed, I adopted her on October 15th. She is about 4 months old, I believe. Her (determined by the waving as I was choosing her), name is Lady Shing Bing. Lady for short. She is very active and I am learning more about her eating habits everyday. She loves her crickets, and loves falling to sleep in me hands. So far she is the best pet I have ever owned. Here are some pictures of her and her enclosure, for now.
Hi! Lady is beautiful! But the sand in your enclosure could cause impaction if injested when she is eating. I strongly recomend the repti carpet which I use in my enclosure, (it is really cheap and you can get a green like grass or a tan like sand) until she is around 8 months.
That is repti-carpet. I know that sand can hurt/kill them. I do not think I will ever use sand after using this carpet. It looks just like it, and it is easy to clean.
I bought it from petsmart. In all I have spent so much on her right now. Its like having a kid. I was super worried about her the first few days, but i think she is getting used to her new home.
