New addition!!

Well i went to the shop for some crickets and came back with a new BD baby, its so cute, i fell in love and couldnt come away without it!! Not sure what to call it, was thinking maybe simba as my other one is pumba, keeping with the lion king theme lol but i'm not sure yet. What do u think??
Its doing so well too, not at all stressed from the journey, doesnt seem to mind being handled at all and has already eaten loads of crickets, i'm in love already!!! :love5:

dont really wanna call it timone, had pumba (well my sister has) since he was a baby and we origionally had 2, timone and pumba, but Timone passed away a few weeks after we got him home which was why i was thinking of simba

Well i've only had her/him a day and i love it so much already!!! It sat in my hand for a good 5 minutes this morning without even moving, apart from to give me a quick lick and to move its head to see what was going on!! I think the name Simba has definately stuck already and i've taken a couple more pics and it has some lovely markings!! Simba really seemed to enjoy sitting in its water bowl for a drink this morning. I'm so proud!!! Oh yeah, can anyone tell me how to get pics where your name appears on the posts? And is anyone else here from from the UK? I've noticed most people seem to be from america. Also, the setup that i got from the petshop came with a red bulb for the basking lamp, i'm not sure if i like this or if it is ok to use for a basking lamp, can anyone please tell me? If not i will go and buy a new bulb tomorrow. Thankyou, Cheryl, Pumba and Simba!! x

You can upload an avatar under User Control Panel (At the top of the forum right above the thread name)--->Profile---->Edit Avatar.

The red bulb isn't very good for their eyes, and even though they tell you you can keep it on it night, you shouldn't because it disrupts their sleep patterns. Go ahead and get another basking bulb. Do you have a UVB source? (I can't tell you the name of the one you'd want, but I'm told you have a very good one availible over there) As long as you have a seperate UVB source, a regular 60w household bulb is generally hot enough to make an excellent basking bulb, and much cheaper.

ive got a uvb bulb, its a repti glow one, 10uvb the kind i have in pumbas viv, think they're the most popular ones. will change the basking bulb tomorrow. Simba was meant to be £60 but i bought the viv as a complete setup from the petshop and if you bought that you got a beardie with it that should've been £30 but i fell in love with Simba so paid the difference to get it. The ones your meant to get are really young, Simba is a couple of months old i think, about 9-10 inches long. Where in the UK are you?? x
