I think I'm getting Spring fever. I have the energy and the need to clean my house now but can't open the windows for at least a few months. Is there an all purpose cleaner, besides white vinegar, that is safe to use around a beardie. I'm chem sensitive too, so it makes it hard to clean stuff, especially in the winter. My house is really small so I can't move Cera to another room while I clean. The cleaning fumes pretty much contaminate the whole house. So if someone knows of a good product or recipe for a non-toxic, odorless or nearly so, cleaner that works , I would love to hear about it. Thanks from me and Cera.
There is this product called Green Works that is good for household cleaning, as far as what I use in my beardies viv, I use the pink disinfectant on beardeddragon.co, you don't have to rinse it, just let it dry. I also use it to clean my sink before I give Spyro a bath.
I'm curious as to why you don't want to use straight vinegar? That's what I use to disinfect everything from my beardie's viv to the toilet. If I'm feeling it, sometimes I'll mix it with lemon juice or oil (any citrus oil, lavender, or tea tree) for extra sanitizing properties.
Does vinigar actually kill all of the germs/bacteria? I use it too for spot cleaning, but if it actually does the job, I'll start using it for my full viv cleanings
Well I think so, but don't quote me. I spray it on liberally and let it sit for a good 10 minutes or so before I wipe it down. This is after I've already cleaned the viv, getting off all debris and whatnot. Once it's clean, then I do the vinegar thing to sanitize.
