Well ive had my bd for close to a month now, he is about 7-8 inches long, my question is, when i put criks in his tank, he always doesnt go straight to eating them, if at all, he will eat like 2 times a day but i will feed him 3, i also have salad in his feeding dish all day, right now i have kale with a mix of carrots like 3 times a week, i dont have a uvb light as of now, i bought a coil 1 and threw away the recipt so im out of like 20 bucks on that, im goung to buy him a uvb light soon, i have a digi temp gauge with a prob, temps on basking rock are 105-110, he is in a 20 G tank, could this prob be due to the uvb light. also i gave him a bath last night and he was fine for like 10 mins, then he sketched out and ran out of his tub, i can hold him for about 10-15 mins, then he will run around my hand and up my arm, not sumthin i want him to do at a younge age, he didnt do that once i first got him, i need some advice, he only eats 20 criks a day max, and a small bit of greens
UVB light is very important to good dragon health and appitite. Get a repti-sun 10.0 and be sure your dragon can get to within 6-8 inches from it.
Your temps look good, so get a good uvb light and I bet his appitite increases. Make sure you are feeding appropriate sized crix, no longer than the space between your dragons eyes.
The running around is normal, so don't worry about it. They seem to like to climb up to higher places, like your shoulder or head!
Thanks for the reply, and ya feeding him was hard at times, i go to 3 different petstores, the pinheads are way to small, he doesnt even pay them any mind, the mid sized are about right for him, well their mediums lol, ya i do need a uvb light bad, wish i wouldnt have bought the coil one, owell i need 2 get sum money 2gather
