My beardie is 1 year and 4 months old and I'm wondering how much to feed him. There was a long period of time when he wasn't eating, or I had to force feed him. This lasted well over 7 months. He is still very small for his age, and only just recently started eating normally. Right now I'm feeding him as much as he'll eat, trying to get him to where he should be for his age. Should I keep doing that untill he's the appropriate size, or should I cut him down to what your supposed to feed adults??
I think it's best to let a beardie eat whenever they are hungry. Typically older beardies just need a greater percentage of greens in their daily diet. Following that guideline, I think you would be okay.
Well the thing is that now he is eating between 15 and 30 crix a day, and still will only eat a small amount of greens, maybe 5 pieces out of the bowl.
I know he still needs the crix, his head is pretty big but his body is stunted from his hunger strike. Thats why I'm not sure how to handle it.
Thanks for the advice!
